Artist statement

Painting for me is an intuitive process.

I find inspiration and creative energy in the natural world, the landscape, the sea, the sky, the living things.

It is the movement and the interaction and the mystery of these elements that engages me.

I am fascinated by the way that nature reflects so precisely what it means to be human, therefore making it the ideal motif to express emotion.

Perhaps it is the mystery that interests me most of all, leading me more and more to an abstract visual language.
